After a stint in management at a local horticultural company, Jamie decided to combine his organisational and design skills with his flair and passion for art. The result was newrooms, a thriving business which has grown quickly since its inception in 2008. Alongside working and running a company, Jamie spent 17 years as a retained fire-fighter eventually retiring when expansion of newrooms reached a point when he needed to be completely focused on the business. This meant that he no longer needed to leave the office mid-conversation and has made life easier, although a little less exciting, for his staff!
Jamie takes responsibility for the day to day running of the company as well as overseeing all the design work; he also manages the projects and looks after all things technical. His passion, flair and expert product knowledge constantly drives the company forward. During his free time Jamie is a keen footballer and is enthusiastic about health and fitness.
We couldn’t provide the high level of fitting and service without their expert level of craftmanship, attention to detail and commitment to newrooms.
Darren has been fitting for Jamie since he started the business as a sole trader. He has a keen eye for detail and a no-nonsense approach to solve any problems encountered along the way.
We also work with a team of trusted sub-contractors for our wider project works, such as electrics, plumbing, construction and decorating. If you would like further details about the full renovation services we can offer alongside your project, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss these further.
Customer service and administrative support keeps both our customers and the team happy. We pride ourselves on our after sales service and are always happy to help.
As one of our longest standing team members, Lynda came from a consultant background in business analysis & project management. Here at newrooms, she looks after all of our ordering and day-to-day operations. Lynda will often be your main point of contact during your project and will assist you with any after-sale queries.
The design is the first part of the process and very important to get right. Our friendly, patient designers spend the time looking at all aspects of your wish list and design to make sure that you get the kitchen that you want and that will work for you.
Karyn joined the newrooms team in 2020, with 4 years of kitchen design experience at a cabinetry manufacturer in North Norfolk. She studied Product Design at Edinburgh Napier University, gaining investor interest in her final degree piece; ‘Retreat’, a compact, multi-purpose office design. This accomplishment has driven her strong passion for kitchen and interior design.
Sian started with newrooms in 2021, after moving from a project co-ordinator role in infrastructure design. Sian has a degree in interior design from the University of Suffolk, and received an award for Best Student in Interior Design Styling for her final exam project.
